Since 2009, the EPA has relied on the "endangerment finding" standard triggered in Massachusetts v. EPA to regulate greenhouse gases. President Trump's EPA administrator Lee Zeldin announced the agency will reverse the "endangerment finding" standard. Arizona law professor Kirsten Engel and ecology/evolutionary biology professor Scott Saleska, who contributed to the climate scientists' amicus brief in Massachusetts v. EPA, will discuss the scientific and legal basis of the endangerment finding and the impacts of the Trump administration's attempt to overturn it.
