Associate Dean Brent White Named Vice Provost for International Education
The University of Arizona announced that Professor of Law Brent White has been named the vice provost for international education to head the new International Education Office in Academic Initiatives and Student Success.
Prior to his vice provost appointment, White was associate dean for programs and global initiatives for the College of Law. He led the development of the nation’s first Bachelor of Arts in Law in collaboration with the School of Government and Public Policy. Additionally, White headed Arizona Law's Global Programs Office as the college significantly expanded its international student population and opened a UA global distance location at Ocean University of China in Qingdao.
White will continue to help lead Arizona Law on strategic initiatives and global programs.
In his new role, White will be responsible for leading the International Education Office as it deepens and expands UA’s educational offerings to international student populations abroad. In so doing, he will work with colleges and departments in designing, implementing, and assessing opportunities to educate international populations, including the development of degree programs offered either entirely or partially overseas through global distance locations and in partnership with international universities.
