Orbach Wins 2020 Antitrust Writing Award 

Professor Barak Orbach’s article “Interstate Circuit and Conspiracy Theories" was selected as the winning Academic Article, in the Procedure category for the 2020 Antitrust Writing Awards. 

The article refines four antitrust concepts whose origins stem from Interstate Circuit v. United States (1939), one of the most well-known Supreme Court antitrust opinions. The article argues that the Interstate Circuit myth demonstrates that erroneous myths may be long lasting and influence polices. 

Orbach’s article was selected as the result of a five-month process involving 51 international antitrust experts and reviewing more than 600 articles.  

Mundheim Named Recipient of ABA’s 2020 Michael Franck Award   

Professor Robert Mundheim has been named as the recipient of the 2020 Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award from the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility.  

The Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award honors an individual whose contributions in the professional responsibility field evidence the highest level of dedication to legal professionalism. It recognizes career commitments in areas such as legal ethics, disciplinary enforcement and lawyer professionalism.  

Sklar Appointed to Scientific Advisory Board 

University of Arizona professor and director of the Health Law Program, Tara Sklar, was appointed to the International Society for Cardiovascular Research’s Scientific Advisory Board. 

The board is part of The International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research, a non-profit organization with a goal to expedite scientific discovery to clinical application.
