COVID-19 Update: Thanksgiving Travel, Appointment-Only Testing

Nov. 11, 2020

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

This week, November 8 -14, is a RED TEAM WEEK.  For this week, students on the RED TEAM are allowed in-person access to the Law Library, assigned classroom spaces to attend online classes, and indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Please note:  Today, Wednesday, Nov. 11 is Veterans Day.  There are no classes.  The library is open 24/7 but there will be no services.

Please follow all COVID-19 mitigation rules while on campus, including wearing a face covering and practicing physical distancing.  Watch the College of Law Reentry video to make sure you know how to be on campus safely.

Appointment-Only Testing Nov. 9-25

Students and employees who plan to travel for Thanksgiving break are strongly encouraged to register for a rapid antigen test at least 10 days prior to Thanksgiving travel.

To avoid long wait times, appointments are required for all antigen testing Nov.9 - Nov. 25.  Schedule an appointment for a test at any of the three antigen test sites (Student Union Catalina Room, North Rec or Global Center).

Student Thanksgiving Travel, Required Survey

Minimizing travel is critical to reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19.  It is imperative that all of us recognize the higher risk of infection posed by travel and take the necessary steps to reduce those risks.

Return to Campus Checklist

You must adhere to the following rules when returning to campus:

COVID-19 Reports

  • COVID-19 Testing Results from UA COVID-19 Dashboard (all test types, all test sources, all affiliations)

The increase in the community and state COVID19 case numbers reinforce what was already true: we all need to stay safe and wise, to protect each other, our families and friends, and our communities.
