University of Arizona Law Partners with Drug Information Association for Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Science

The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law has partnered with the Drug Information Association (DIA) to offer a new online course, Leadership and Equity in the Life Sciences. This course joins a broader eight-course curriculum offered by University of Arizona Law as part of its Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Science. 

Leadership and Equity in the Life Sciences is aimed at professionals looking to increase diversity across the workforce and in leadership positions. This course will cover topics such as: 

• Relevant federal labor laws to provide a baseline legal framework for diversity and equity in the life sciences industry. 
• Regulations that govern the rights and protection of employees. 
• Importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the life science industry, including in clinical trial study participant recruitment. 
• Different leadership strategies and tools to facilitate success and innovation in a life science company. 

After successful completion of the 7.5-week course, learners are awarded three academic credit units towards a Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Science. All certificate credits may also be applied to University of Arizona Law’s Master of Legal Studies with a Concentration in Health Law and Policy or Bachelor of Arts in Law.
