Legal Paraprofessional Summit
Event: Legal Paraprofessional Summit

Where: Chandler, Tucson, Yuma, and Zoom 55 North Arizona Place Chandler, AZ 85225
The first ever Legal Paraprofessional (LP) Summit will take place on Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21 at the University of Arizona Chandler campus with virtual hubs at the University of Arizona in Tucson and Yuma.
The LP Summit brings together licensed and prospective legal paraprofessionals, lawyers and judges, and members of the legal community to facilitate robust discussion promoting innovation and growth for LP education and professional development and foster community education.
McCormick Lecture
Event: "Prison Abolition, and a Mule"

University of Arizona Law and the J. Byron McCormick Society invite you to an evening with Paul Butler, professor of law at Georgetown University on Monday, February 27, 2023. Butler will present, "Prison Abolition, and a Mule," which will explore the movement to abolish prison, focusing on the consequences for racial justice and public safety.

Great Torts Cases Symposium
Event: “Reinventing the Canon: Great Torts Cases of the 21st Century”

The University of Arizona Law/Harvard/Oxford/ALI Symposium will focus on great torts cases of the 21st century. Are canonical tort decisions a thing of the past? Or are contemporary judges continuing to play an important role in shaping new common law? In this conference, speakers will engage with recent common law tort cases to identify and write about a great common law judicial opinion of our time.
