Kristina (Krissy) Taylor, PhD
Kristina (Krissy) is a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping people feel confident and capable of living their best lives. She is also an experienced mediator and professor who loves incorporating neuroscience and conflict resolution skills into her practice and life.
Krissy received her master’s in clinical-counseling psychology from Illinois State University and a PhD in conflict resolution from Nova Southeastern University. She has over 15 years of experience in both mental health and mediation.
She has years of research experience in academia across disciplines. Her current research interests include sleep and ASD, exploring how different clinical techniques/practices (in therapy and in mediation) change the brain at the neurological level, using AI to expand interspecies communication, and the use of psychedelics to foster cognitive growth.
I value genuine relationships (as a clinician, mediator, and educator) and feel the most important thing I can offer is a trusting, genuine, and accepting space where individuals can be themselves and be truly heard.
Outside of work, I have 3 kids, love to travel and have adventures, am an avid reader, engage in creative hobbies, spend time in nature as much as possible, and prioritize self-care to stay sane and healthy.
