Lisa Marie Queen

Lisa is a Tucson native who returned to the College of Law community with the goal of helping all students. Prior to joining the Law School, Lisa worked as a delinquency and dependency attorney for the Maricopa County Office of the Public Advocate. For years, she represented both children and parents involved in the Juvenile Court. Before delving into this important legal work, Lisa clerked for the Honorable Peter Cahill (Ret.) in Gila County. Together, Lisa and Judge Cahill created a multimedia presentation on the history of In the Matter of Gerald Gault that focuses on the local history and people involved in the seminal Supreme Court case. They continue to present all over the country. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law where she received a Certificate in Criminal Law and Policy, was a Note and Comment Editor for the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law, and a student attorney with both the Criminal Defense Clinic and the Child and Family Law Clinic. Before law school, Lisa graduated in 2009 from Georgetown University and spent a year volunteering with City Year Inc., an AmeriCorps program, that created literacy programming for low-income schools in Miami, Florida.
